Quality Control

I am all about trying new things. If they seem like good things to try. This time out, Josephine and I went to a new(ish) restaurant to sample their fare. It wasn't that great, to be honest. But, it did give rise to the thought about how businesses tend to appeal to the most people by being somewhat bland.

Because of that trend, it would seem we Americans have now cultivated a sense of this blandness as part of our own culture.

Of course, this is a bad thing.

Strange Things & The Existence of Them

The studio of this show is going through an upgrade process. Not by choice, mind you. More of a necessary thing. I explain in the show. Also in this episode, Dianna Fryer sat down with me to have a chat about some late night programming coming to Radio Memphis and some of the other things we are getting into around Pirate Radio Studios.

Also, Dianna picks the song for this week and it comes to us from Ghoultown.

No Apologies

Given the nature of this episode, we decided to give our advertisers a break. Plus, there is no music in this one either. The reasoning behind it was simple. Some might think of it as being proactive, others might have harsher things to say about that decision. Either way, I don't really care.

The nature of this episode is a little more rough than usual. The reasoning behind that is simple. Sometimes, to get ahead of a difficult situation, you must meet it head on and deal with it in all of its ugliness.

When that happens, there are some pretty offensive things that get said. This may be one of those times. Having said all of that, be aware. Some of the things I speak of in this episode may be considered highly offensive by some.

You have been warned.

NEXT WEEK: Who are are competing against? Plus music from Bean.

Blow Me Down

The Memorial Day weekend was an interesting experience for Memphians this year. A major storm came through and put a lot of people in the dark. As of the publishing of this episode, there are still those who are dealing with the aftermath of The Week The Lights Went Out in Memphis. But, kudos to the city for staying on top of the job at hand.

Trees came down, power lines were snapped, people lost the food in their refrigerators and there was a few moments of chaos. The biggest problem? People trying to find ice and a place to charge their phones.

Plus, music from Donnell London.
