The Show That Didn't Air

New Year's Eve was an interesting night for those of us down in the studio that night. We had set up for our usual end of the year party. We had a few friends in the studio, we brought in our long time friend, Zeke Johnson to play and tell stories. Overall, just another subdued celebration.

Not so much.

Comcast had an issue. We were knocked off the air. It would be after 1:00AM local time before we would be back on. Or, so we were told.

Dianna Fryer and I decided to say, "Whatever." and recorded what would have been broadcast.

Here it is. The New Year's Eve Show That Never Aired featuring Zeke Johnson.

Happy Old Year

New Year's Eve is without a doubt the first "rookie night" of the year. That is when the idiots and the careless come out in force to celebrate. Just what are we celebrating? But, there are those who still manage to get into some sort of trouble by celebrating at home, away from the prying eyes of law enforcement. That is, until someone breaks out the fireworks.

Fun times are ahead and I wanted to a moment to not only look at how we celebrate this time of the year, but I wanted to take a look at what we can realistically expect in the new year and what we can take from the previous year.

This episode, by the way, is the last episode of this podcast from 2014.

My personal wish for all of you who read these words and listen to this episode is that 2015 is a fine year for you and yours.

NEXT WEEK: Dianna Fryer sits down with me for a little talk about Los Angeles, CA since she is planning on being at NAMM. (National Association of Music Merchants). Plus we talk about the previous year at Radio Memphis and who I would love to interview on this podcast.

Happy New Year!
