The Lizzard Kings

It's not a typo. The word "lizzard" (with 2 Zs) has an amusing connotation. You'll learn about it here. These guys represented Memphis in the International Blues Challenge this past week in the band category. They are a real blast to hang out with as we did that night. You'll hear some studio performances and a few songs off their brand new CD.

Also, we are getting close to wrapping our 5th year of production with this show. An interesting milestone for sure. With that, there are some changes coming to Radioland. But you can think of it as more of an expansion than anything else. I'll explain in the show.

NEXT WEEK: Benny Turner & Cash McCall

An Evolution is Coming

Over the years, From Radioland has gone from being a weird, long, rambling thing to what it is now. Rather concise and somewhat structured. Guess what? I'm gonna change things up a bit.

Don't panic.

What is currently in the show is not going anywhere. We're just going to add a few things to the production. I'll tell you about some of these changes in this episode.

Plus music from Hardaway.

A Change is Gonna Come (and you are not going to like it)

I say that because we, as a society in general, seem so resistant to any sort of change. The world is evolving thanks to technology. The way we adapt to any sort of change is amusing to me. Part of how we react and, indeed change is something entertaining to witness.

Yes, I talk about everything from technology to immigration. How does the rest of the world perceive us? That is also rather amusing.

Also, why do I carry a bag to just about every place I go? Because I carry too many damn things.
